The kriek is made by adding cherries (sour cherries) to lambic, a type of beer that is spontaneously fermented with wild yeasts and bacteria from the air.
After several months of maturation in wooden barrels, a sour and fruity taste is created that is typical of traditional Kriek beers.
Eylenbosch Oude Kriek has a pronounced cherry flavor with a fine balance between sourness and sweetness. The beer has an alcohol percentage of 5%.
