This exclusive beer is created by a six-month fermenting maceration of cherries, raspberries and cranberries on beer that has been aged for two years in oak casks. The result is an extraordinary Rodenbach Caractère Rouge with an alcohol content of 7%. The beer has a vinous character and a very complex, fruity nose of raspberry and cherry, combined with subtle hints of wood and caramel. Undertones of violet, leather and light tobacco add to the aromas. The taste is distinctly sour, but in a very pure way. With its long, clear finish and the unique combination of subtlety and power, Rodenbach Caractère Rouge is reminiscent of a refreshing Burgundy wine. This noble beer is truly unique and exclusive.
