Brasserie des 3F

Brasserie des 3F is the result of a shared passion between Pierre Dessy and Rémy d'Aubreby, two beer lovers with a deep connection to the rich Belgian beer culture. Their story began in 2013, during a conversation about their shared dream: to start their own brewery.

Rémy comes from a long line of brewers. His family has been active in the brewing world for four generations. Although their family brewery was sold in 2010, the love for the trade continued to flow in his blood. He was strongly influenced by his father Patrick, who taught him the tricks of the trade from an early age.

Pierre developed his passion in a different way. As a student, he brewed his first beer, La Forge, in 2014 as a graduation project. His enthusiasm was fueled by his grandmother Geneviève and his uncle Alain Dessy, an experienced brewery engineer. That same year, he won the prestigious Brouwland Benelux competition with his creation, and that was the starting signal for an ambitious adventure.

Together, Pierre and Rémy found a suitable location for their brewery in Frameries in 2014, right opposite the educational adventure park SPARKOH!. The site, built on former mining areas, is fed by water from the urban water network instead of groundwater, due to the reclaimed soil. This unique context inspired the name of their brewery: 3F, a reference to the three historic fountains of Mons.

In 2016, the 2000 m² brewery was completed and they started brewing. After two years of intensive experimentation and refinement, they launched their definitive beer line in 2018 under the name Dominicains. This range — consisting of a Dubbel, Tripel and Quadrupel — is a modern reinterpretation of the traditional abbey beers that were once brewed in monasteries.

Sustainability is central to their operations. For example, the grain residues that remain after brewing, also known as dregs, are reused by local farmers as nutritious animal feed.

What characterizes Brasserie des 3F is their pursuit of authenticity and quality. Passion, discovery and sharing are at the heart of their philosophy. They believe in the use of noble, generous ingredients and are guided by the great Belgian beer tradition, while they surprise time and again with creativity and finesse.

Whether you are a seasoned beer connoisseur or simply curious about a new taste experience, the beers of Brasserie des 3F are brewed to surprise, to enrich and above all — to share.
