In the lively centre of Genk you will find BRAUW, a city brewery and bar founded by bio-engineer Joris Mentens and zythologist Ward Strauwen. Driven by their shared passion for beer and craft, they are building a unique beer experience at BRAUW, far removed from the classic choices such as Leffe or Duvel. Here, everything revolves around original, surprising and creative beers – the more unique, the better.

BRAUW not only brews its own house beers and experimental test brews, but also opens up its brewing facilities to other (hobby) brewers. This creates an open, inspiring place where innovation and collaboration are central.

What makes BRAUW truly special is the total experience. In the bar – literally in the middle of the brewing kettles – you can taste the freshly brewed beers straight from the source.
