The Brew Society
The Brew Society Brewery was founded in 2016 in Heule by Björn Desmadryl, a passionate brewer whose love for beer started at a young age. At the age of 17, Björn started brewing in his own kitchen. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a success, but it became so intensive that he sold his equipment. Still, the passion kept itching – and in 2016 he gave it a new home with the founding of The Brew Society.
In the early years, the focus was entirely on brewing private label beers for other brands. But in 2018 that changed with the launch of their own beer: Martha. The beginning of a new chapter.
Today, The Brew Society has grown into a dynamic brewing community where creativity and quality are central. In their modern brewhouse, beers are brought to life in an artisanal way, including the characterful Martha and the playful series De Zeven Zonden.
Their master brewer and his team have more than 100 years of experience between them. This expertise translates into an impressive range, from classic pilsner to challenging sour beers. They master both bottom fermentation and top fermentation and can brew batches of 50 to 500 hectoliters per day.
Sustainability and local involvement are high on the agenda. The Brew Society works with local farmers and uses only Belgian ingredients. Thanks to their organic certification, they also market fully organic beers.
All drinks are carefully analyzed and controlled in their own brewing laboratory. Quality, authenticity and innovation go hand in hand here. In the Society of brewers and connoisseurs, every day is a new opportunity to experiment – and enjoy.
