The Straffe Hendrik Xmas Blend is an exclusive winter beer in which tradition and craftsmanship come together. For this special creation, the brewmaster carefully selects a blend of barrel-aged Quadrupel and young Quadrupel. The result is a powerful and unique composition, in which the tannins of the wooden barrels harmonize beautifully with the rich flavors of the special malts.
The maturation in different barrels, ranging from new wood of American and French origin to reused barrels of Whiskey, Rum, Bordeaux and Calvados, gives this beer a versatile aromatic character. Each barrel adds its own nuance, allowing each batch to be subtly different.
