Brouwerij Hophemel

Since the end of 2020, craft brewery De HopHemel has risen to great heights in the beer world by launching a new, heavenly beer every month. What started as a small, ambitious home brewery, grew after a few years as a rental brewery into a thriving brewery with taproom in the Limburg capital Hasselt. Almost every beer brewed here is a one-off creation—a "one-off"—that, once it's finished, disappears like a star and never returns.

Behind De HopHemel are zythologists, foodies and brewers Geert Vandormael and Steven Broekx. With an impeccable instinct for surprising flavor combinations, they do not shy away from experimenting. They combine the classic ingredients—grain, hops and yeast—with herbs, fruits and other special additions to create a unique, divine beer every time. Despite their innovative approach, they remain faithful to the traditional brewing process, resulting in beers of exceptional quality.
