BZART Lambic is a unique creation resulting from the beautiful fusion of two honorable traditions: the Méthode Traditionnelle for sparkling wines and the spontaneous fermentation technique for lambic beers.

The result is a naturally sparkling lambic beer of Belgian origin. Lambic is a beer that ferments spontaneously and is considered the oldest existing Belgian beer, probably originating around 1300. The "Lambic Oud Beersel", which serves as the basis for BZART Lambic, first matures for twelve months in wooden barrels in the cellars of Oud Beersel.

This Lambic is then bottled by adding "liqueur de tirage", a mixture of foaming wine yeast and sugar for secondary fermentation. The beer is then aged in the bottle for at least nine months before being finished according to the "Méthode Traditionnelle". This process results in the development of fine carbon dioxide bubbles that are trapped in the bottle, making the lambic sparkling. The yeasts present in the bottle are removed from the bottle by means of "remuage" and "dégorgement".

What makes BZART Lambiek unique is that no "liqueur d'expédition" is added before the final cork and muselet are applied to the bottle. This results in a BRUT sparkling lambic beer with an overwhelming taste palette.
