Brasserie Valduc-Thor
The Valduc-Thor brewery has its origins in a meeting between bioengineer Antoine Limbourg and brewing engineer Peter Gerard in the brewery laboratories of the UCL. Their shared passion for beer led to the decision in 2016 to jointly establish a modern, sustainable brewery, rooted in Belgian brewing tradition.
On April 6, 2017, the first brewing took place in their new facilities in Thorembais-Saint-Trond, near the former Meurice-Hanquet brewery. Their project has a strong social and environmental approach, with support from more than 100 employees.
The brewery is located in a rural area with ideal water and land for beer production. They brew craft beers according to strict Belgian tradition, with refermentation in the bottle and local ingredients, without adding spices or additives. Their focus is on sustainability and quality, with which they honor the brewing history of the Perwéz region.
