T Verzet Double Wood is inspired by whiskey culture, where finishing matured whiskeys in barrels with specific flavor profiles is common to add extra complexity. In this series, Oud Bruin, which has matured for at least a year in oak wine barrels, is given a finish in wooden barrels of a different type of wood. Sometimes the barrels are new, sometimes they have previously contained another drink.

This edition uses Bocoy barrels, large 700 liter barrels made of chestnut wood. Spanish wine from the Jerez region has matured in this. These barrels enrich the beer with aromas of nuts, tobacco, spices and a subtle hint of balsamic vinegar.

To best bring out the aroma of this beer, we recommend using a corresponding glass.
