Brasserie Abbaye Des Rocs
The Abbaye des Rocs brewery was founded in 1979 by Jean-Pierre Eloir and his wife Marie-Jeanne Bertiau and is located in the Hainaut village of Montignies-sur-Roc, a sub-municipality of the municipality of Honnelles. The brewery is now owned by their daughter, Nathalie Eloir and her partner Georges Levecq. It was the first microbrewery in Belgium.
Their beers are brewed with water from the rocky subsoil on which the brewery stands.
The name and logo come from the former monastery farm that was located in Montignies-sur-Roc.
