Brouwerij Van Biervliet

Dieter Van Biervliet discovered brewing beer by chance, but was immediately captivated by it. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a true passion. With great dedication and a refined sense of taste, he developed several distinctive regional beers.

In July 2014, during a cellar clean-up, he came across some old bottles of the original “Bukske”, together with the accompanying recipe. To his surprise, the beer turned out to still taste surprisingly good, despite the years. As a dedicated microbrewer, Dieter decided to breathe new life into the “Bukske”, brewed according to the authentic recipe.

Ten years later, in 2025, he further expanded his brewing dream with the takeover of Brouwerij Dikke Jan under the flag of his own brewery, Biermaekers.
