Stadsbrouwerij Gruut
City Brewery Gruut was founded in 2009 by brewing engineer Annick De Splenter in the center of Ghent. Annick is descended from the brewing family that owned the Riva brewery in Dentergem.
The Gruut beers are brewed according to an old recipe with a herb mixture (gruut) instead of hops.
