The Leite Fils à Papa N°17 has aromas of sour apples, strawberries and malt, with a striking, caramel-like touch of bourbon barrels (wood). The aroma is interesting and complex, although the beer is very sour — half a portion can be enough. It has a beautiful golden color, but little of the original IPA characteristics remain. The taste is astringent and bitter, with deep barrel-aging aromas that reverberate. A quite complex beer, perhaps just a little too intense.
