De Brouwerij van Vlaanderen
Vlaamsche Leeuw beer was launched in 2002 on the occasion of the celebration of 700 years of the Battle of the Golden Spurs.
The name of the beer refers to De Vlaamse Leeuw, the Flemish national anthem, and thus to the Battle of the Golden Spurs. The beer labels also contain the text: Remember the Golden Spurs Battle.
