Back by popular request: the Christmas beer from Brasserie de la Senne! The iconic and crazy label has remained (thank you, Jean Goovaerts!), but the beer has been given a new name: SCHIEVE X-MAS. If you look closely at the label, you will immediately understand why. In addition to the new name, the beer also has a new recipe!

As you have come to expect from them, they push the boundaries when creating their Christmas beer. This year they are again experimenting with the traditional style, but without the usual syrupiness or excess of spices.

Schieve X-Mas has a firm, beige foam and a copper color with a red glow. The aroma offers a perfect balance between malt and hops. The scent is a delicious combination of caramel, biscuit and pudding, with hints of candied fruit, mandarin, bitter orange and licorice - without using a single gram of herbs or fruit! The beer has a nice, long-lasting bitterness and a light, dry aftertaste. It is warming, but the alcohol is subtly present.

This beer is perfect to end autumn and usher in winter!
