Brouwerij Roman
The story starts in 1545 with Joos Roman. He had a bed and breakfast avant la lettre called “De Clocke”. It lay along the trade route from Germany to France.
There was an inn, a farm, a mill, a malt house and, of course, a brewery. Back then, brewing beer was just one of the many activities that happened.
It wasn't until later, as generations took the helm, that beer brewing became the family's main activity.
